This course will review, in brief, some of the content of Authentic Child Assessment related to data analysis and data reporting. The focus of this course is on ethics of conducting child assessment, including the effect of personal biases and values on the assessment process; choosing appropriate assessment tools, the importance of environmental assessment used in conjunction with individual child assessment; and authentic child assessment strategies with special populations – dual language learners, child with developmental disabilities and children who are gifted.
