Dual language learners are children who are learning English in childcare or school and another language at home. They may be born outside of the USA or are born in the USA in immigrant or refugee families. Learn to teach English and to honor the home languages of children, as well as support their families. The course is based on the book “Dual Language Learners, birth to grade 3, Strategies for Teaching English” by Angèle Sancho Passe (2013). The book is the textbook for the course.
