Participants in this training will practice the assessment cycle of gathering information and making decisions based on that information. The purpose of gathering and using information is to support children and families.

Families and communities provide the foundations children need to be successful. This course will at the resources and reflective skills providers need to work successfully with diverse families. Methods to find and promote the strengths of families as a way to promote child development will also be discussed.

Examine best practices of adult education and how they transfer to online education. Specific focus will be on adult learning theory, environments and implementation into online education. In addition become familiar with how to promote effective communication among students and between students and instructors in online courses, focusing on individualizing approaches for each student.
